More than 270 commands, and you find any of them by typing three letters. The Command Library is a dockable palette inside the CAD, with instant search and a button that runs the command on the spot.
- Search on anything. Command name, ribbon button label or keyboard alias — and the search ignores accents and capitals.
- Run it from the list. Found it, clicked it, ran it. No name to memorise, no ribbon button to hunt for.
- Grouped by area. Alignments, road markings, signs, GIS, utilities — the same grouping as the ribbon and this manual.
- Always the same list as the manual. The palette's page and the website's command appendix come from the same file, generated from the program itself.
- It stays where you put it. Docks left or right, auto-hides, and comes back in the next session.
- A direct line to the people who build it. One command opens support, another sends your feedback to the team.

Command Library — CAPCAD_COMMAND_LIBRARY
The Command Library is a CAD palette (not a CapCad window) called CapCad Commands. Like any palette it can be docked left or right, auto-hidden and closed with the X; its position and size are stored in the CAD profile, and the command reopens the same palette instead of creating another.
Inside it runs a page with:
- a search box at the top, filtering as you type;
- a counter of how many commands match the filter;
- the list, grouped by area (the same categories this manual uses), with each command's name, its ribbon button label and its keyboard alias tags (BR, LA and EN, where they exist);
- a Run button on each row, which runs the command immediately.
The search sweeps everything at once: command name, ribbon label in all three languages, aliases and category — ignoring accents and capitals. The list holds the 273 published CapCad commands.
The same page, without the Run button, is the website's command appendix: one source, two places. Outside the CAD the button becomes Copy name, which copies the command name.
The palette uses Microsoft's WebView2 runtime (the same one CapCad's Street View uses). Without that runtime, the command says so and asks you to install it.
The Command Library could not be photographed for this manual: it only exists with the CAD open.
Learning
Online Manual — CAPCAD_LEARN
Opens the CapCad manual in the default browser. It is this manual.
Video Channel — CAPCAD_YOUTUBE
Opens the training videos. The destination follows the active country profile: each region has its own video channel, and the Brazilian profile opens the site's Portuguese content area instead.
CapCad Website — CAPCAD_WEBSITE
Opens the CapCad home page.
CAPCAD_LINKS
Opens a conversation with CapCad support on WhatsApp, in the browser or in the app, whichever is installed. The number is the same for every profile — it is a Brazilian one — and the command has no ribbon button outside the Portuguese-labelled Aprenda panel, so type it.
CAPCAD_LINKS_UK
Opens the site's links page. It has no ribbon button in any profile: it is only available by typing the name on the command line.
Send Feedback — CAPCAD_FEEDBACK
This is the only one of the seven that does not open the browser. It shows a box with a thank-you message and, below it, the team's email address already selected, ready to copy with Ctrl+C:
Thanks for taking interest! Please send your thoughts to the email below. Feel free to make any comment, criticism, malfunction report, any new idea, a command that could be better etc
The address is team@capcad.io. Use it for praise, criticism, an idea for a new command, a fault report and educational-licence requests.
Error reports do not depend on this command: when a CapCad command fails, the error is logged and sent automatically, with the name of the command that was running and the sequence of commands before it. What really helps is the context only you have — what you were trying to do, and with which drawing. To attach a full diagnostic package, use CAPCAD_DIAGNOSE.
Remembered between sessions
Only the position, size and docking state of the Command Library palette, which the CAD itself keeps in its profile. The other six commands store nothing.
Notes
- The Command Library's list is generated from the program itself, the ribbon and the alias files, and travels inside the program itself — it works with no internet. The other commands on this page open web addresses and therefore need a connection.
- Command labels in the Library are shown in English wherever an English label exists, in every profile. The command name and the aliases are shown as they are.
